Unlike flat or edge grain boards, end grain exposes the cross-section of the wood fibers, allowing knife blades to slip between the grain rather than cut across it. The result is a board that's dramatically gentler on your knives, self-healing over time, and extraordinarily durable under daily use.

Zebrawood is a striking hardwood from West Africa, named for its bold dark stripes running across a warm golden-brown background. It's dense, durable, and full of personality — every piece has its own pattern, and those contrasting stripes only get richer with age and use.

Hand wash only. Never submerge or put in a dishwasher.
Periodically (once every several weeks, depending upon the use and household conditions), apply an even coat of mineral oil to your board. apply with a rag, let is sit for at least 30 minutes, then wipe off.

Your local hardware store should have both. Your local grocery or drug store may also have mineral oil.
There is always Amazon, and search cutting board oils and waxes. Do not substitute plant or animal oils, as over time it may start to mold and incur bacteria.
