Cocobolo & Wenge Vase #1

$325.00

Two of the world's most distinctive hardwoods, one unforgettable vase. Wenge's deep, almost black tones frame a bold band of cocobolo in the center — fiery reds and burnt oranges practically glowing against the dark wood. The end grain construction wraps all four sides in a pattern that looks intentional and intricate, even though it's purely the wood doing its thing. Fitted with a 2” x 2" glass insert, it's as functional as it is beautiful.

Overall size: Approx. 3” x 3” x 9” (Glass Insert: 2” x 2” x 8”)

Product Details

  • The glass insert handles all water contact — remove it for cleaning. Wipe the wood exterior with a dry or barely damp cloth only. Re-oil occasionally with mineral oil to keep your vase looking its best.

  • Cocobolo is a rare, dense hardwood from Central America prized for its extraordinary color — deep reds, burnt oranges, and dark purples that seem to glow from within. No two pieces are alike, and the wood naturally deepens and richens in color over time.

Wenge is a dense, coarse-grained tropical hardwood sourced from Central Africa, with a natural color ranging from medium to very dark brown, often featuring distinct black streaking throughout the grain. It ranks high on the Janka hardness scale, making it more cumbersome to work with.

  • All vases are fitted around standard glass vases. Amazon, and other stores you can find online sell 2” x 2” x 8” glass vases. Make sure that the outside dimensions aren’t larger, as can happen sometimes.
