Cocobolo is one of the most sought-after hardwoods in the world, and the moment you see it in person, it's obvious why. Native to Central America, it's famous for its deep, jewel-like colors — rich reds, burnt oranges, and dark espresso tones — and a natural grain so vivid it almost looks painted. Crafted with end grain cocobolo on all four sides, and lines with White Maple, this vase turns that wild figuring into a repeating geometric pattern that's genuinely unlike anything else you'll find.

Fitted with a 2” x 2" glass insert, it's fully functional as a vase while keeping the wood completely protected from water. Tuck in a few stems from the farmers market and it instantly becomes the most interesting thing on your table.

Product Details

  • The glass insert handles all water contact — remove it for cleaning. Wipe the wood exterior with a dry or barely damp cloth only. Re-oil occasionally with mineral oil to keep the cocobolo looking its best.

  • Tigerwood, also known as Goncalo Alves, is a dense, durable hardwood native to Central and South America. It gets its name from its dramatic grain — bold streaks of deep reddish-brown and dark espresso running through a warm orange base, much like the stripes of its namesake. No two pieces are alike, making it one of the most visually striking woods used in fine woodworking today.

  • All vases are fitted around standard glass vases. Amazon, and other stores you can find online sell 2” x 2” x 8” glass vases. Make sure that the outside dimensions aren’t larger, as can happen sometimes.
